To change the default web browser in Windows, follow these steps:
- Open Settings: Click on the “Start” button, which is the Windows icon in the taskbar, and then click on the gear-shaped “Settings” icon. Alternatively, you can press the
- Go to Apps: In the Settings window, click on “Apps.”
- Select Default Apps: In the left sidebar, click on “Default apps.”
- Change Default Web Browser:
- Under “Web browser,” you’ll see your current default browser listed (e.g., Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome).
- Click on the current default browser. Windows will display a list of installed web browsers.
- Select the web browser you want to set as the default. For example, if you want to set Google Chrome as your default browser, click on “Google Chrome.”
- Confirm the Change: After selecting your preferred web browser, Windows will set it as the default. You can close the Settings window.
