On Desktop:

1. Log in to Facebook: Go to Facebook.com and log in to your account.
2. Access Ad Preferences:
   • Click on the down arrow in the top right corner of the Facebook page.
   • From the dropdown menu, select “Settings & Privacy,” then click “Settings.”
3. Navigate to Ad Preferences:
   • In the left-hand column, click on “Ads.”
4. Edit Your Ad Preferences:
   • Under “Ad Preferences,” you’ll find several options:
     • Ad Settings: Here, you can adjust your ad settings, including “Ads based on data from partners” and “Ads based on your activity on Facebook Company Products that you see elsewhere.”
     • Hide Ad Topics: You can choose to hide ads about certain topics.
     • Advertisers and Businesses: You can see a list of advertisers whose ads you’ve interacted with and remove them.
     • Your Information: View and manage the information that Facebook uses to show you ads.
     • Ad Settings for Data Collection Partners: Adjust your ad settings for specific data collection partners.
5. Make Your Changes:
   • Click on the section you want to edit and follow the on-screen instructions to make changes to your ad preferences.

On Mobile (Facebook App):

1. Open the Facebook App: Launch the Facebook app on your mobile device.
2. Access Ad Preferences:
   • Tap the three horizontal lines (the menu icon) in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
   • Scroll down and tap “Settings & Privacy.”
   • Then, tap “Settings.”
3. Navigate to Ad Preferences:
   • Scroll down and tap “Ad Preferences” under the “Privacy” section.
4. Edit Your Ad Preferences:
   • Here, you’ll find various options similar to those on the desktop version.
   • Tap the section you want to edit and follow the on-screen instructions to make changes to your ad preferences.

Delete a Facebook Story:

1. Open Facebook: Log in to your Facebook account if you’re not already logged in.
2. Access Your Story: If you’ve posted a story, you can usually find it at the top of your News Feed or on your profile picture. Click on your profile picture or the “Your Story” button to view your active story.
3. Delete the Story: Once you’re viewing your story, you should see options like “More” or “More Options” (represented by three dots). Click on that.
4. Delete: From the options that appear, select “Delete Photo/Video.” Confirm the deletion when prompted.
5. Confirm: Facebook will ask you to confirm the deletion. Confirm again, and your story will be deleted.

Delete a Facebook Live Video:

1. Open Facebook: Log in to your Facebook account.
2. Go to Live Videos: Click on your profile picture or go to your profile page. On your profile page, click on “More” below your cover photo and select “Videos.”
3. Find the Live Video: Scroll through your videos to find the Facebook Live video you want to delete.
4. Edit Video: Click on the video you want to delete. On the video page, click “Options” (represented by three dots).
5. Delete Video: From the options that appear, select “Delete.” Confirm the deletion when prompted.
6. Confirm: Facebook will ask you to confirm the deletion. Confirm again, and your Live video will be deleted.

To delete a Facebook post after you’ve posted it, follow these steps:

1. Log In: Go to Facebook and log in to your account if you’re not already logged in.
2. Locate the Post: Find the post you want to delete. You can do this by going to your profile or the page where you made the post.
3. Delete the Post: Hover your mouse over the post. You should see three dots (…) or a downward-facing arrow in the upper-right corner of the post. Click on these dots or the arrow to open a dropdown menu.
4. Select “Delete”: In the dropdown menu, click on “Delete” or “Remove.” Facebook will ask you to confirm that you want to delete the post.
5. Confirm Deletion: Click “Delete” again to confirm. Your post will be permanently removed from Facebook.

Please be aware that once you delete a post, it cannot be undone.

To change your name on Facebook, follow these steps:

1. Log In: Go to Facebook and log in to your account using your current credentials.
2. Access Settings: Click on the downward-pointing arrow in the upper-right corner of the Facebook homepage to open a dropdown menu. From this menu, select “Settings & Privacy,” then choose “Settings.”
3. Edit Name: In the left sidebar, click on “Personal Information.” On the right side of the page, you’ll see your name displayed under “Name.” Click “Edit” next to your name.
4. Enter New Name: Enter your new first name and, if applicable, your new middle or last name. Facebook has guidelines on what names are allowed, so make sure you adhere to them. Generally, your name should be your real name as it appears on official identification documents.
5. Review Changes: After you’ve entered your new name, Facebook will show you how your name will appear. Review this and make sure it’s correct.
6. Password Confirmation: To save your changes, you’ll need to enter your Facebook password. This is for security purposes.
7. Change Name: Click the “Save Changes” button to update your name.

Please note that Facebook has certain policies regarding name changes. You may be required to provide documentation, like a driver’s license or passport, if Facebook needs to verify your name change. Additionally, Facebook has limits on how frequently you can change your name. Make sure you’re following Facebook’s guidelines and policies throughout this process.

To change your Facebook password, follow these steps:

1. Log In: Open your web browser and go to the Facebook website (facebook.com). If you’re not already logged in, enter your current login credentials (email or phone number and password) and click “Log In.”
2. Access Settings: Click on the downward-facing arrow in the top right corner of the Facebook page. This will open a dropdown menu. From the menu, select “Settings & Privacy,” then choose “Settings.”
3. Security and Login: In the left sidebar of the Settings page, click on “Security and Login.”
4. Change Password: Under the “Login” section, you’ll see an option to “Change password.” Click on the “Edit” link next to it.
5. Current Password: Facebook will first ask you to confirm your current password for security purposes. Enter your current password in the provided field.
6. New Password: In the next section, you can create a new password. It’s essential to choose a strong and unique password. Facebook will show the strength of your password as you type it. Try to include a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
7. Confirm Password: Re-enter the new password in the “Confirm new password” field to ensure it matches the one you entered in the previous step.
8. Save Changes: Once you’ve entered your current password and your new password twice, click the “Save Changes” button.
9. Confirmation: Facebook may ask you to confirm your identity by entering a security code sent to your email or mobile phone. This is an additional security step to ensure that it’s you changing the password.
10. Password Changed: If everything is successful, you’ll receive a notification that your password has been changed. You should now use your new password to log in to Facebook.
