Method 1: Check Archived Messages
- Open Facebook Messenger.
- Click on your profile picture in the top left corner.
- Select “More” > “Archived.”
- Here, you might find messages that you thought were deleted.
Method 2: Request a Copy of Your Facebook Data
- Log in to your Facebook account.
- Click the downward-pointing arrow in the upper right corner and select “Settings & Privacy” > “Settings.”
- In the left-hand menu, click on “Your Facebook Information.”
- Click on “Download Your Information.”
- Choose the data range, format, and media quality. For messages, you can select “Messages.”
- Click “Create File.”
- Facebook will prepare your data for download and notify you when it’s ready. This process can take some time.
- Once your data is ready, click “Download” to save it to your computer.
