The best new romantic movie on Hulu is Fire Island. It is a modern retelling of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice, set in the vibrant LGBTQ+ community of Fire Island, New York.
Fire Island follows two best friends, Noah (Joel Kim Booster) and Howie (Bowen Yang), as they spend a week vacationing on the island with their eclectic group of friends. Noah is a cynical writer who is not looking for love, but he finds himself drawn to Will (Conrad Ricamora), a handsome and enigmatic doctor. Howie, on the other hand, is desperately looking for love, but he keeps making bad decisions.
Fire Island is a funny, heartwarming, and romantic film that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community. It is also a fresh and modern take on Jane Austen’s beloved novel. If you are a fan of romantic comedies, then I highly recommend checking out Fire Island on Hulu.
